Hi everybody,
The holidays are almost upon us and we’re taking a little break over the Christmas season. Hands On London will be closed between 24th December and 4th January during which time we will not be running volunteering opportunities.
However, if you would like to volunteer over the Christmas period an organisation called Tikun is looking for volunteers to help with their projects running from 23rd to 2nd January. Please take a look at their website if you are interested.
We also have several opportunities for which we are still looking for volunteers over the next few days:
Action For Kids need help packing customers’ bags and collecting coins at Sainsburys in Muswell Hill this Friday and Saturday between 9am and 5pm. You can go along and volunteer for as long as you like, so take a look at the calendar for the time slots available. This is one of their key fundraising events in the year and allows them to continue their support services children with physical and learning disabilities.
We are cooking breakfast at Ronald McDonald House this Saturday from 8am-9.30am and would love a little extra help. If you’re an early riser do come along and lend a hand for the families staying at the house while their children are in hospital this Christmas.
And finally, our last opportunity this year is with Thrive this Sunday between 10am and 12 noon. They will be selling wreaths in Battersea park to help fund their therapeutic gardening activities for the disabled.
