An exclusive opportunity to take part in an interactive discussion on ‘what skills will the future employee need to have?’
5.30 pm Reception for a 6pm start, Thursday, March 15, 2012
Shoreditch Town Hall , 380 Old Street London EC1V 9LT
UpRising invites you to come to East London and explore how the talent being developed locally is generating a new recruitment pool of diverse, dedicated and creative young people who are closely connected to the vibrant local communities that are bringing dynamism to the UK. This inspiring and important event will bring leading businesses and young people together to discuss the new skills required to work in a globally diverse workplace.
A stellar panel of UpRising’s senior business Ambassadors Moya Greene (CEO of Royal Mail) Paul Thandi (CEO of NEC Group) Prem Goyal (CEO of Global Markets Consultants) and Henry Erskine Crum (founder Spoonfed Media Ltd and Bullseyehub) will explore the role the next generation can play in ensuring Britain can compete with the new emerging economies. The event will be chaired by David Wighton, Associate Editor, Business and Politics at The Times and the newspaper’s Chief Business Commentator.
The second half of the event will see an interactive debate facilitated by Oli Barrett (Director and Founder at The Co-Sponsorship Agency).
If the UK is going to compete in the future it will need to harness all of its talent. UpRising’s leadership programme equips 19-25 year olds from diverse communities and backgrounds to be the leaders of tomorrow. Our Alumni have already proven the power of this programme and the unique experience and determination that has ensured their success in the workforce to date. This is your opportunity to experience and interact with them and find out for yourself what gives our young people a special place in the future work place.
Places are very limited and by invitation only, please RSVP via e-mail to uprising@youngfoundation.org by Monday, March 5, 2012.
