The eXtreme 5 Challenge
This is something to add to your employee fundraising events calendar – It shouldn’t cost a company or charity anything, but it should result in some healthy fundraising!
It’s a team quadrathlon race, but there’s a twist: the race includes a 5th competitive element, which is fundraising.
The race takes place at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes on Sunday 11th July 2011, and comprises of 5 parts:
  • Swim 1.5k
  • Kayak 10k
  • Cycle 40k
  • Run 10k
  • Fundraising
Each member of the team (of 4) will take on one sports discipline each, and all will fundraise. £ mean points, and points mean prizes!  ie. The amount fundraised has a direct impact on the point scoring system and the more the team fundraises, the more time will be deducted from their total team race time. (As well as being open to teams of 4, the event is also open to individuals wishing to take on the whole challenge themselves).
The event lends itself to being a ‘corporate challenge’ and, given that teams can raise money for their charity of choice, it has become rather attractive as a ‘Charity of the Year’ event for any company to promote to their employees. There are sponsorship opportunities to discuss should any company be interested (please contact Sophia Warner,
